I have worked with Shannon for a few months now in her On-Camera Audition Technique class and coaching for self tape auditions. After my latest session working with Shannon, I was sent to producers! 

Shannon is very easy to work with. She’s an actor’s coach because she is an actress. She has a way of helping you be comfortable with bringing yourself to the role. Yet, at the same time she helps you visually tell the story by highlighting all the technical nuances in the script. Shannon has become my go to teacher/coach not only for her expertise but she is great person.

Auditioning is awkward and terrible. Except when I work with Shannon. Thanks to Shannon, I am prepared and ready to do my best work. 

Shannon is one of the best coaches working in NY. Not only does she make my work clearer, funnier and stronger but she takes who I am and helps me to shine more luminously. She is good, she is smart and coaching with her is a f*&%ing bargain!

I trust Shannon implicitly. The knowledge I've gotten from her has elevated my auditioning game to the point where I finally feel like I'm playing with the big guys. Whenever we've worked one-on-one on a piece, Shannon adds real life to it; it's like what's in my brain as a picture becomes three dimensional through her lens.

Coaching with Shannon has bar-none upped the way I approach self-tapes, and more specifically, my prep leading up to them. Because of her, I bring more curiosity to my work and now more laser-focused on the details that will bring my characters to life. Whatever I have constructed will be infinitely better with her input.

Working with her is a steady balance of honest guidance, measured with her allowing you to feel safe to take risks and “color outside the lines”. As a working actor herself, she’s up-to-date and really knows what is to be expected in the high stakes on set…when you do book the job.

Working with Shannon is not a cookie cutter experience! She really zooms in on your unique sauce and supports you in bringing that to the work.  I trust her guidance implicitly and continue to highly recommend her.

Shannon is an awesome acting coach!  She helped me book an AMC show from a self-tape and get a callback to a producer session for a guest starring role on CBS. She gives individual attention and has never coached me by rote.  She truly works with the actor in front of her.

In the many times I’ve gone to her, she’s taken her time, worked with me till I felt solid, and by the end, made it all feel so simple and easy. Working with Shannon makes me feel confident in my talent, my moment-to-moment work, and how to tell the story that the writers needed to see in order to know that I can do the job. She, quite naturally, helps me to get to the point where I can just bring myself without the worry of what to do or not to do.

I can count on Shannon to get the best performance out of me, but also help me keep it fresh. It's comforting to have a coach who understands the technicalities of being in front of the camera, as well as what's needed from behind the camera.

Shannon has a true gift for coaching. She finds a way to get you out of your head and to make confident choices in your material.
